Apple has just announced its latest phones, the iPhone 17 series. That is updates to three known models as well as the new iPhone Air, which takes the place of the iPhone Plus. If waiting in line on release day is not your style, and you still want to grab one as soon as possible, you'll be able to place a pre-order for the iPhone 17, 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Air from 10pm AEST on September 12, ahead of the September 19 release date.
Aplpe’s iPhone 17 has a new design with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and narrower edges. And after a long wait (and a lot of grumbling), the base iPhone finally gets a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, Apple’s new A19 chip is more powerful as well as more energy-efficient, especially when paired with Apple Intelligence. If you are upgrading from an older iPhone, you will experience a significant jump in speed and smoother gaming thanks to ProMotion.
Camera wise, you'll find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) and a 2x telephoto lens. The device’s ultra-wide camera also features an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography crisper and much more refined.
